Rongcheng spruced up for Chinese New Year

As Chinese Lunar New Year draws near, Rongcheng, a county-level city in Weihai, East China's Shandong province has spruced up with festive decorations to welcome the most important festival in the country.

Chinese Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, falls on Feb 5 this year.

Rongcheng spruced up for Chinese New Year

A swan-shaped lantern show adorns the Sakura Lake Sports Park in Rongcheng city, East China's Shandong province to welcome the upcoming Chinese New Year. Rongcheng is an important habitat for migratory birds, especially the swans from Siberia, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the Chinese northeastern regions to live through the winter.
