Mascot unveiled for Baotu Spring Lantern Festival
The mascot for the 40th Baotu Spring Lantern Festival has been unveiled in Jinan, capital city of Shandong province.
Luoluo, the mascot for this year's Baotu Spring Lantern Festival, featuring the traditional Chinese festive color of red also added lantern and spring elements to illustrate the delightful festive atmosphere.
The organizers also designed a series of derivative products themed around Luoluo. A total of 40 products of 13 categories were released such as lanterns, electric warming treasures, toys, mobile power supplies and pillows.
Visitors or residents can buy these products from Feb 5 to Feb 24 at Baotu Spring Scenic Area.
The Baotu Spring Lantern Festival will be launched at Baotu Spring Garden on the first day of the Chinese lunar year offering visitors a chance to enjoy some festive entertainment.
Since 1956, Jinan has held the spectacular lantern show 39 times. Baotu Spring Lantern Festival has developed into the largest and oldest lantern show in Shandong province.
