Baotu Spring Park welcomed thousands of tourists on Feb 19 to greet the Lantern Festival.

The Baotu Spring Park has prepared more than 40 sets of lanterns with different themes and used the front-projected holographic display technology to combine cultural and traditional elements with modern technology.

Accordingly, nearly 80 percent of the lanterns are capable of moving, offering visitors a vivid scene. The largest lantern set consists of four giant yellow elephants, 12 meters high and 30 meters wide.

Until 22:00 when they stopped selling tickets, the Baotu Spring Scenic Spot had received a total of 52,700 tourists.

It is tradition that people hang lanterns everywhere, in their house or in the streets. The lanterns depict various characters, like flying birds, leaping fishes, and shining fireworks, showing an atmosphere of joys.

This year's Baotu Spring lantern show will be lit until Feb 24.
