Yantai enjoys tourism boom during May Day holiday

Yantai saw a tourism boom over the May Day holiday from May 1 to 4.

Official data show that a total of 22 scenic spots in Yantai received 843,900 tourists over the May Day holiday, generating revenues of more than 78.3 million yuan ($11.64 million), respective increases of 16.5 percent and 18.9 percent compared to last year.

This year, the city is promoting 68 tourism products and 183 cultural products and is offering a number of travel packages that include sea, land, and air transport, accommodations, and both day and night time excursions.
