Jinan highlights cultural products at Shenzhen fair
The Fifteen China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair wrapped up on May 20. The five-day event attracted more than 22,000 overseas buyers from 103 countries and regions.
The Shandong exhibition booth with an area of 1,208 square meters displayed a total of 8,520 exhibits from 96 cultural companies.
Fifteen companies from Jinan, capital of Shandong province, took the opportunity to promote their innovative cultural products covering fields of media, intangible cultural heritage, science and technology.
Shandong Qinghe Artware Co, an innovative company in Jinan, featuring novel lotus leaf products, attracted lots of attentions from expo visitors.
The company has developed more than 100 varieties of innovative products with lotus leaf elements such as furniture, decorations, vases, office supplies, lamps and lanterns.
All the products are made by combining real lotus leaves with wood, paper, glass, metal, porcelain and other materials, which have great natural ecological value as well as aesthetic appeal.
A total of 600,000 yuan ($89,552) of lotus leaf products were sold at the fair. The company also signed cooperative agreements worth 200 million yuan with companies from Hong Kong and Shenzhen, according to General Manager Yin Guangshan.
