The four-day event attracted more than 100 players from seven countries and regions. The traditionally strong team of Thailand won four titles, while the Chinese women's team claimed second place twice. Sepak takraw, a popular sport in Southeast Asia similar to volleyball in its use of a rattan ball, only allows players to use their feet, knees, chest and head to touch the ball.
