The Shandong provincial department of culture and tourism will host an international photography competition to promote local tourism resources worldwide, as well as raise the province's international profile.

With a theme of "Hometown of Confucius, Friendly Shandong," the competition results will be announced in November. In order to expand the influence of the competition, as well as attract more photographers and photography enthusiasts to participate in it, the organizing committee is now collecting photography works from home and abroad.

All entries must be original and be shot after January 2018. Photography works should feature Shandong's unique cultural and tourism resources, quality tourism services, natural scenery, as well as related themes.

Interested entrants can send their works to gjlysyds2019@163.com with detailed information including title of works, author's name, contact number, and shooting places before Nov 20.

The organizing committee will select two gold medal winners, five silver medalists, 10 bronze medal winners, as well as 10 best aerial shots.

Certificates and rewards will also be offered for winners.
