Dance drama Yellow River to be performed in Shandong
The dance drama Yellow River, presented by the Shanxi Song and Dance Troupe, will be held at the Lishan Theater on Feb 14 and 15, 2020 in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province.
It will also be performed in other cities in Shandong, such as Qingdao and Dongying, following its tour in Jinan.
The performance, directed by Zhang Jigang, vividly depicts the unique lifestyle of the Shanxi people and recounts stories from along the Yellow River, which runs through the province.
Zhang is a famous contemporary choreographer and educator in China. He is also a national-level director, a member of the National Committee of the Eighth China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, chairman of the China Special Art Committee, and vice chairman of the Chinese Dancers Association.
