Laoshan Mineral Water Museum opens in Qingdao
The Laoshan Mineral Water Museum opened on July 17 in Qingdao, Shandong province, marking the 120th anniversary of the brand.
Founded in 1905, Qingdao Laoshan Mineral Water Co is the earliest mineral water manufacturer in China. It is known for its taste and high quality.
The company enjoys a good reputation both in domestic markets and abroad. Its products have been exported to many countries and regions since 1962, including Japan, the United States, Panama, Singapore and Malaysia.
The museum features nearly 1,000 exhibits that document the history of the brand and the mineral water industry in the country.
It will also help to popularize the latest technologies in the water industry and help raise awareness of the importance of healthy drinking water, said Wang Da, chairman of Qingdao Beverage Group, parent company of Qingdao Laoshan Mineral Water Co.
Located at No 31 Guangxi Road, the museum is housed within a historical German-style building that used to be a trade association for drugs.
The museum is open from 10:00-16:30, Monday to Sunday. Admission is free.
