The coastal city of Yantai in Shandong province welcomed the first Jiangsu food cultural festival on April 18. The festival will run until May 5.
Aside from colorful tulip flowers on display, locals can enjoy tasty snacks from Jiangsu province such as tangbao (soup dumpling), lobsters and Yangzhou sanding baozi (steamed bun stuffed with a trio of diced pork, chicken and bamboo shoots).
In addition, various Jiangsu-featured handicrafts will be on display, including Nanjing yunjin brocade, Yangzhou lacquer ware, Suzhou embroidery, Wuxi clay teapot and Lianyungang crystal.
The festival also includes many other entertaining activities such as a beer carnival, yoga show and wine tasting event.
The festival aims to promote cultural and business exchanges between Shandong and Jiangsu and enrich the cultural life of local residents.
