Yantai – the pearl of the Shandong Peninsula
Like a pearl shining on the Shandong Peninsula, Yantai lies along the Yellow and Bohai seas, bordering Liaodong Peninsula, Japan and South Korea across the sea. Surrounded by mountains and seas, Yantai is blessed with a picturesque landscape. The vibrant and beautiful coastal city, known as a "Fairyland on Earth" and "City of Wine", is a place where you can enjoy the azure blue sea and sky, golden sunshine and beaches, mystical islands, the spectacular Penglai Pavilion, fertile wine country and plentiful hot springs.
With its superior air quality, rich tourism products and great public services, Yantai topped a recent list of the Five Best Summer Resorts, released by the China Tourism Academy and CMA Public Meteorological Service Center.
