Yantai holds national arts and crafts fair

The 2016 China (Yantai) Folk Arts and Crafts Fair got underway on Sept 23 in Yantai, East China's Shandong province.

The fair was held at the Yantai International Expo Center, consisting of 700 exhibition booths with participants from 26 domestic provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions as well as 10 foreign countries and regions.
Lasting until Sept 26, the fair covered several exhibition areas including painting and calligraphy, ceramic art, jewelry and jade, root carving, and classic Chinese furniture.
Organized by the China Folk Literature and Art Association, Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Yantai government, the fair was the seventh of its kind held in Yantai since 2010.
All of the exhibition areas were open to the public free of charge.
