As a major port city in the implementation of China's Belt and Road Initiative, the manufacture industry in Yantai, Shandong province is embracing new development opportunities.

Yantai is one of the birthplaces of national industries in modern times. In 1892, Zhang Bishi, a national industrialist founded the first winery in China – Changyu, which has now grown into a prestigious company in the international wine industry.

In recent years, the city has accelerated the pace of replacing old growth drivers with new ones to transform and upgrade the economy. To fully achieve this goal, Yantai has been making efforts to push forward technological development and innovations.
