Shanghai Auto Cultural Festival to open soon

The 2014 China Road Trip Festival reveals that The 2014 Shanghai Auto Cultural Festival will open on April 18 in the district of Jiading, Shanghai, and will last until April 30.

“Happy and Passionate Drive to the Future” will remain the theme of the festival, which will consist of four parts - competitions and activities, travel and leisure, art and culture, business and promotion - with a total of 14 activities.

In addition, the festival will make efforts to combine sports competitions with tourism and festivals this year.

The annual Formula One Chinese Grand Prix will begin on April 18 as well at the Shanghai International Circuit. The Jiading Theme Park there will be an important landmark of this cultural festival. An auto audio festival and the first China Auto Advertisement Carnival will be held in the theme park, and there will be a series of audience interactive activities, such as a trial drive of new-energy automobiles, an issue of “Watch Competition, Visit Jiading” tourism products and a display of vintage cars.

Meanwhile, the ever-popular “Flavor Cuisines” will be present at the theme park which will provide motor fans with Jiading special food, which they can enjoy during the excellent competitions.

Additionally, as a year-round activity, the Shanghai - Jiading tourism photography competition will be unveiled and begin collecting photographic works about Jiading.

Guyi Garden becomes digital scenic spot

Guyi Garden in Shanghai's Jiading district was recently rated as one of the 21 Shanghai digital scenic spots by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, local media outlets reported on Jan 19.
