20,000 Jiading residents to get colorectal cancer checks

By Lin Hong ( chinadaily.com.cn ) 2014-04-10

Shanghai’s Jiading district began its second round of examinations for colorectal cancer among residents in late March. The project will continue until 2016, and involve 48,000 residents in total. About 20,000 residents will be examined this year.

In addition to the enteroscopy, Jiading district will also spread knowledge about the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer to help residents get a thorough understanding of the disease, and blood tests to encourage residents to pay more attention to their health.
