The Jiading Health and Family Planning Commission and Children’s Hospital of Shanghai signed a medical cooperative agreement on June 19, according to a local newspaper.
Under the agreement, the Children’s Hospital of Shanghai will build a joint pediatric team with four hospitals in Jiading for two-way referrals, medical research and training.
The cooperation also involves enhancing the interactions of pediatric resources, sharing resources of continuing medical education and promoting medical research.
Li Yuan, deputy head of the district, attended the signing ceremony.
According to Li, the agreement will enhance local pediatric medical services and meet different medical demands of the residents. She expected both sides to strength their cooperation and provide more efficient and convenient medical services to children.
The Children’s Hospital of Shanghai specializes in neonatology and cardiology, and is a first-class hospital for all things pediatric. The annual number of outpatients is over a million. Its new branch, located in Putuo district, is adjacent to Jiading.
