The second Inno-China Entrepreneurship Competition kicked off its second-round contest in the Jiading district of Shanghai on July 1.
A total of 48 teams from all over the world competed to gain qualification for the final contest at the weekend. The finalists will have an opportunity to get an angel investment worth a million yuan ($160,100) and specialized marketing.
Hosted by the Jiading Advanced Technology Innovation and Business Incubator, the competition attracted Chinese people from all over the world, including many returned overseas Chinese with world leading technologies.
Some of the participants were rookie entrepreneurs, who expected to expand the market and obtain preliminary investment. Some experienced participants took advantage of the competition to promote their new technologies.
The competition has also attracted many investors, who were interested in the entrepreneurial teams and their innovative projects. It provided a platform for investors and participants to communicate with one another and achieve cooperation.
