An experimental base of the Community Revitalization Research Center (CRRC), jointly founded by the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University and Taiwan-based Sinyi Realty Co, was unveiled in Malu town of Shanghai’s Jiading district on Oct 28, Jiefang Daily reported.

The base will serve as a site to explore innovative models for community development and enhance cooperation between the government, universities and enterprises in community revitalization, said Gan Yongkang, chief of Malu town.

A community revitalization experience center also opened to the public that day. As a window of community revitalization, the center integrates Sinyi’s concept of “community as a family,” creating a harmonious and ideal home environment. People can learn about the development of the concept and experience community revitalization.
