The construction of Shanghai iValley, the first mobile Internet industry base in East China, is fast progressing in the Jiading Industrial Zone.

The industrial zone, the Jiading park of Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park and Shenzhen Mobile Internet Industry-Academia-Research-Investment Alliance, as the co-founders of the project, have vowed to support the base with favorable policies and industrial services to pave the way for further development.

With a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($322 million), iValley has started the first-stage construction in 2014, which is expected to complete in early 2016.

Covering an area of 3.7 hectares, the first-stage project will include office buildings, start-up incubators and labs and create a sound entrepreneurship environment to attract mobile Internet enterprises running e-commerce, new media and IT services. So far, more than 100 enterprises have agreed to settle in the base.

Furthermore, iValley has planned to join hands with other establishments in the area to form a regional business attraction alliance. So far, the number of the alliance members has exceeded 100, with Shanghai Financial Valley, Baidu and Alibaba getting on board.

Aimed to be the first mobile Internet base featuring industrial development, innovation, training and financing, iValley will seek business opportunities, capitals and talents through its networks across China.
