Agricultural Bank of China Jiading branch hosted a meeting for local e-commerce companies to exchange ideas over banking polices for the trade on March 22, local media reported.
A total of 30 e-commerce companies including JD.com and Gome Electrical Appliances participated in the meeting.
The bank's financial experts also took part in the meeting and introduced related policies and services, such as electronic banking, credit card and credit financing. Five companies also shared their successful e-business experiences.
Jiading district recently saw a drastic increase of e-commerce firms, said local officials. Its online retail sales amounted to 5.5 million yuan ($846,000) in 2015, a surge of 40 percent year-on-year and accounting for half of Shanghai's total sales.
The meeting is expected to help those e-commerce companies develop better in such a crowded market.
Zhang Qing, president of ABC Jiading branch said that the bank has established a professional Internet finance service team to offer services, like payment and settlement, online installment, fund management and financing to Internet firms.
