A month-long peony exhibition at Guyi Garden in Jiading district of Shanghai came to an end on May 2, the last day of this year's May Day holiday, local media reported on May 4.
The exhibition attracted nearly 160,000 tourists over the past month, according to the scenic spot.
The exhibition had about 3000 pots of peonies in over 110 varieties on display. The peonies were arranged in different shapes, to make them look more interesting and attractive.

In addition, the garden also hosted lots of peony-themed activities during the May Day holiday (April 30 to May 2), to give visitors a better travel experience.
The activities included traditional opera performances featuring Kunju Opera and Pingtan (a form of singing and story-telling), a peony-themed painting exhibition, and peony flower arrangement.
