The award ceremony for a youth art competition for the mentally disabled students was held in Jiading Distirict of Shanghai on June 12, highlighting the creative talents of this special group.

The competition is the result of joint efforts by Han Tianheng Art Gallery and the Jiading Cultural Center, aimed at promoting and encouraging artistic talents in special needs students.

This year marked the second time the event has been held, which began in April and attracted some 20 schools from all districts and counties of Shanghai, 13 more than entered last year.
