An association aimed at promoting exchanges among listed companies was inaugurated in Jiading district of Shanghai on June 28, according to local media.
Shen Huadi, deputy head of Jiading district, attended the opening ceremony and said that Jiading was in a critical period of pursuing innovation-driven development and industrial restructuring. He added that the association will serve as a bridge between listed companies, capital markets, government and potential projects.
He urged the association to offer better services to listed companies and to nurture more companies with the potential of being listed. As of now, Jiading has a total of 10 listed companies, five on the main board.
The association, as an official from the Jiading economic committee indicated, will promote the development of local small- and medium-sized enterprises, thereby accelerating the district's industrial restructuring.
