Jiading will strengthen its efforts in credit information collection and sharing, as well as construction of an effective credit-oriented reward and punishment system, said Shen Huadi, deputy head of Jiading district of Shanghai.
The remarks were made on July 11 at a conference aimed at securing steady progress in social credit system construction in Jiading.
Shen also noted that Jiading, selected as a national demonstration district for social credit system construction in April, will try innovative ways to promote and distinguish its credit system.
Those ways include establishing a joint conference system, improving credit information collection and sharing, promoting the use of credit information, exploring new methods of credit management, establishing a sound credit regulation system, building an integrated credit management platform, providing eligible credit service agencies with access to credit information, and enhancing innovation in credit services.
The district's move to enhance credit system construction is in response to the country's call in 2014 to build a government-led national social credit system which would assess individuals, enterprises, and government agencies on areas ranging from tax payments and local government bonds to judicial credibility.
