A delegation from Tivat in Montenegro led by its mayor Snežana Matijević visited Jiading district of Shanghai on Nov 1.
Ma Chunlei, Party secretary of Jiading, met with the delegates and gave them a detailed introduction of the district's social and economic development. Ma said that Jiading is making efforts to become an environment known for good business and comfortable living.
He mentioned the district's cooperation with Tivat in high school education this year and expected that there will be more cooperation in culture, education and economy between the two areas.
The friendly relations started in 2015 with an agreement on exchanges and cooperation. Last November a group of teachers and students from Tivat came to Jiading to exchange with local students.
Tivat, a coastal city in Montenegro, has a population of nearly 14,000 and boasts abundant tourism resources. It is now a place of business opportunities, as it aspires for growth and looks for investment.
