Shanghai's Jiading Museum received more than 15,000 visitors during the New Year's Day holiday from Dec 31, 2016 to Jan 2, 2017, attracted by the museum's various activities.

A porcelain exhibition displaying about 160 European wares illustrated the development of Europe's porcelain industry from copying China's porcelain techniques, integrating them with Western culture, and renovating production technology to developing new products and achieving success.
A bamboo carving exhibition showed the results of a young bamboo carving artist training program sponsored by the China National Arts Fund. More than 40 works by prestigious bamboo carvers such as Zhang Weizhong, Yu Tian, Zhang Taizhong and their students were exhibited.

A DIY event for kids was also launched allowing them to use their imagination to shape and squeeze a lump of clay into high heels and paint them with different colors.
