The Internet of Vehicles Jiading Declaration was announced at the 4th APEC Internet of Vehicles Symposium (APEC-IOV) held in Jiading district of Shanghai held Sept 14 to 16.
According to the declaration, its members will work together on big data applications and services and encourage auto technology innovation.
Policies in human resources and financial support will be improved to attract more leading companies.
Better business environment and services will be created to help auto companies develop further.
Additionally, the attendees shared views on smart driving, public transport, sharing transport and other topics.
An exhibition themed on internet of vehicles, sharing transport, and public transport was also launched. Auto companies such as SAIC Motor and NextEV displayed their latest products and progress in smart and new energy vehicles.
Public transportation departments from Nanjiang, Hangzhou, Shanghai and other cities also showed their innovative moves by using technologies such as big data.
The Mobile & Mobility China 2017 ran alongside the symposium. The event is designed to be a platform to expose smart transport-related tools, ways and solutions to consumers.
