AI forum lands in Jiading

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Industry Development Forum opened in Shanghai Academy of Artificial Intelligence on Sept 24.

Jiading, in a bid to industrialize self-dependent innovation, has made an overall arrangement of four new industry clusters, namely new-energy and intellectualized vehicles, integrated circuits and Internet of things, high-end medical facilities and precise treatment, intelligent manufacture and robots, all constituting to a key link in establishing the center of science and innovation.

Artificial intelligence is a characteristic of compatibility, meaning breakthroughs will be achieved only by amalgamation and this forum offers a good opportunity to exchange ideas, plan future development, thus promoting the economic development of Jiading.

He Beiyuan, Director of Asset Management Centre of Shanghai Academy of Artificial Intelligence, said both the universities rank on top in AI and he expects both the bases to land more AI projects in Shanghai.

Meanwhile, reports were made on innovation, opportunities and prospect of AI by Ding Xianfeng, director of sensor laboratory of Huawei, Liu Ruizhen, president of Shanghai Academy of Artificial Intelligence, Yu Jingyi, professor of School of Information Science and Technology of Shanghai Tech University and Cheng Jian, researcher of Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Science.
