The 2017 World Autonomous Vehicle Ecosystem Conference Shanghai Declaration was released in Shanghai's Jiading district on Nov 6, the opening day of the World Autonomous Vehicle Ecosystem Conference.

The declaration is expected to help unite organizations around the world to build a global business and regulatory ecosystem that will promote the development of the autonomous vehicle industry.

Current auto and related industrial resources, application scenarios, and talent resources will be used to facilitate the implementation of national autonomous vehicle development strategies as well as the transformation and upgrading of the auto industry.

The declaration will also help to develop Shanghai into an autonomous vehicle industrial innovation center of global influence and a hub of auto industrial clusters and auto talents.

The World Autonomous Vehicle Ecosystem Conference this year, themed on "Connected World, Intelligent Future", is co-organized by the Shanghai municipal government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

It intends to become the most authoritative platform for international exchanges and cooperation in the autonomous vehicle field, displaying the world's latest autonomous vehicle technology and opening discussions on autonomous vehicle-related rules and industry standards.

Top managers of leading global auto companies, scholars of research institutes, and industry leaders attended the two-day conference to brainstorm about related issues.
