The first Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Technology Trade Fair is scheduled to take place from Nov 28 to 30 at Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center in Jiading district, shanghai, according to a press conference held on Nov 21.
The upcoming trade fair is expected to showcase the latest sci-tech achievements of companies from the YRD region, promote their commercialization, and attract renowned third party service agencies to locate in the district.
The YRD region is traditionally made up of Shanghai, the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and more recently also the province of Anhui. The whole region covers 211,770 square kilometers – more than twice the size of South Korea.
To date, more than 170 enterprises from emerging industries have signed up for the trade fair involved in new energy, information technology, high-end manufacturing and healthcare.
The fair will launch a scheme for startups and sci-tech innovation companies from Jiading, Suzhou of Jiangsu, Wenzhou of Zhejiang, where they can enjoy the three cities' technological resources, such as major research facilities, sci-tech literature, and professional technology service platforms free of charge.
A signing ceremony for the YRD innovative services trade community will also be held at the fair. The community is dedicated to bringing together all the service resources for sci-tech innovation from the YRD region and attracting more such service agencies and experts from home and abroad so as to support the region's technological innovation.
Additionally, a total of 13 forums and roadshows will also be staged during the trade fair, including the China YRD Innovative Service Trade Forum, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Patent Auction (Shanghai), and the Precision Medicine Industrialization (Shanghai) Forum.
