Forum promotes auto culture industry in Jiading

As part of the 2019 Shanghai Auto Cultural Festival, the Auto Cultural Development Forum was held in Jiading's Anting town on May 16.

Themed around the transformation and upgrading of auto culture, the forum invited guests to voice their ideas on innovation and development within the auto culture industry.

During the forum, the Yangtze River Delta Automobile Industry Innovation Alliance was set up, involving cities and regions along the Yangtze River Delta, including Shanghai's Jiading district, Zhejiang's Wenzhou city, and Jiangsu's Kunshan and Taicang.

Auto enterprises including Shanghai FAW-Volkswagen and Shanghai International Automobile City also joined in the alliance. They will gather to promote the development of smart vehicles and new technologies in auto industrial innovation.

Lu Zufang, deputy director of Jiading district, said the alliance will try to build a new mechanism of production, education and research for auto industry development. As part of the main innovation center of Shanghai, Jiading will promote the development of the manufacturing and auto industry.

Guyi Garden becomes digital scenic spot

Guyi Garden in Shanghai's Jiading district was recently rated as one of the 21 Shanghai digital scenic spots by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, local media outlets reported on Jan 19.
