On Aug 15, a new-era series of literature books written by the Jiading writer-group debuted at the 2019 Shanghai Book Fair which lasts from Aug 14 to 20, local media reported.
At the book fair local writers from Shanghai's Jiading district participated in a book signing activity and interacted with readers in person.
The series of books fully supported by Jiading district has provided local residents an effective way to gain a better understanding of Jiading.
Sun Ganlu, vice-chairman of the Shanghai Writers' Association, in his foreword for the series of books said that "The publication of the series also reminds me that how Jiading as a time-honored town successfully carries out its historical context and cultivates so many writers with diverse writing styles. Their works showcase their detailed observations of life from spectacular angles and styles of writing."
The Jiading writer-group was established in the 1980s and has played an important role in the literary field in Shanghai and in China as a whole.
