An online festival for promoting industrial robots was launched in Nanxiang town in Jiading district, Shanghai, June 2, gathering a number of government officials and representatives of robot enterprises.

The activity invited more than 20 robot enterprises to broadcast on online platforms such as TikTok, and attracted 3,500 terminal manufacturers and more than 100,000 viewers.

The livestreaming activity breaks the limits of time and space to provide enterprises with convenient and efficient services for online trading, according to Yu Juncheng, a participator at the event.

"It will deepen cooperation and exchanges among upstream and downstream enterprises in the robotics industry, and help them further expand markets and recover from the COVID-19 epidemic," Yu said.

The online event was an important attempt to reconstruct the industrial chain of the robotics industry, which was aimed at creating solutions for bottleneck problems in supply, demand and technology.

Organizers said that the event will help set up a new e-commerce platform integrating producer services, business models and financial supply chains, aiming to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of "internet plus" for enterprises.

More than 5,000 enterprises registered for the event, which opened April 28 and will run for about two months. The livestreaming broadcast will help sell 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion) worth of industrial products, organizers said.
