Guyi Garden was built during the reign of Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty (1574-1620). Covering nearly 10 hectares, it was one of the most famous gardens in East China during the Ming Dynasty and the largest of the five classic gardens in Shanghai.

Ticket Price: 12 yuan ($1.70)

Opening hours: 5:30 am-7:30 pm (No admission after 7 pm)

Guyi Garden in Shanghai's Jiading district was recently rated as one of the 21 Shanghai digital scenic spots by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, local media outlets reported on Jan 19.
