The Jiading based company Shanghai Honghui Optics Communication Technology has seen a surge in sales over the past several months, despite the economic difficulties caused by COVID-19, local media reported on June 15.
The company produces industrial automation products such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and supplies more than 120 million yuan ($17 million) worth of products to Chinese telecommunications equipment giant Huawei every year.
Founded in 2001, Shanghai Honghui has doubled down on efforts to accelerate the pace of industrial transformation and upgrading in face of fierce market competition.
It entered the optical device industry in 2010, and in 2012, it began the research and development of PLC to complete its industrial chain. Its total sales revenue reached 400 million yuan in 2019, and it posted sharp growth in sales in the first five months of this year despite an unfavorable economic environment.
Currently, it has subordinate companies in Sichuan, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. It will introduce an array of favorable policies to attract more high-level talent to support the company's innovation, according to a manager of Shanghai Honghui company.
