During the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai, more than 200 manufacturing companies in Shanghai's Jiading district are being ensured stable production while following epidemic prevention and control measures, with over 50,000 employees maintaining employment for the production lines to run steadily.
Since the start of the latest COVID-19 outbreak, Jiading district has developed guidelines for epidemic prevention and control for important production companies, as well as a company control methods for the new round of nucleic acid screening.
For example, the district provided assistance for stable production and epidemic prevention to significant companies including SAIC Volkswagen and JianCai Medical, urging them to implement closed-loop epidemic prevention and control measures, as well as other services, to ensure stable and safe production.
The district also aided connected businesses maintain industrial and supply chains' stability. For example, for four enterprises, including Schaeffler, a major supplier in the automotive and industrial sectors, the district granted cross-province marketing letters.
Companies in Jiading district are all focusing on full production thanks to government backing and guarantees. To date, 35 percent of Continental Automotive Systems (Shanghai) Co personnel have come to work to assure closed-loop manufacturing at the Shanghai factory. Employees residing at the factory are provided with living necessities such as mattresses, sleeping bags, and toiletry kits, as well as four free meals per day and a special daily allowance.
Furthermore, since the start of closed-loop management, the plant has conducted on-site nucleic acid tests for personnel to assure the safety of both employees and production.
Closed-loop management ensures that all companies in Jiading district abide by the State's, city's, and district's epidemic prevention and control requirements when conducting business.
