The first batch of commercial complexes in Shanghai's Jiading district has resumed offline operations and implemented appointment-based entries, local media reported on May 30.
On May 29, customers showed entry appointment codes, negative nucleic acid test results, scanned the "digital sentry", and had their temperature taken to enter the Wanda Plaza in Jiading New City.
Thirty-one stores in the Wanda Plaza covering retail sales, catering, and digital products have resumed offline operations.
The Wanda Plaza plans to increase the flow control to 75 percent of the maximum single-day capacity on June 1 as more stores will resume offline operations, according to Liu Ke, general manager of the Wanda Plaza.
Jiading district's Powerlong also resumed offline operation the same day, with 30 stores opening, which are mainly involved in retail sales and catering.
In terms of epidemic prevention and control, the mall implements various and regularly scheduled disinfection and cleaning procedures in places such as escalators and restrooms.
At the same time, employees must practice closed-loop management and conduct daily nucleic acid and antigen self-testing as required.
Other commercial complexes, including Nanxiang Incity Mega, Bailian Jiading Shopping Mall, and Imix Park, will reopen one after another.
