In the Lujiazui financial center of Shanghai's Pudong New District, there are three skyscrapers -- the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Jin Mao Tower – that have become the top tourist spots and riding up to the top of them is becoming more popular among visitors, according to the Pudong Times of Jan 26.

Pudong reports income from tickets to the three skyscrapers during the New Year holiday, Jan 1-3 amounted to 6.65 million yuan ($1 million), so, naturally, the three are looking for new ways to draw in visitors. For example, the Financial Center is putting on an exhibition of classical photographs from the National Geographic Society, in the US, on the 94th floor. The sightseeing area is as high as a visitor can go in Lujiazui. The building also holds the world's highest Chinese restaurant, swimming pool and hotel.

Not to be left out, the Jin Mao Tower has some special tourism programs, including a "love mailbox" and, for Lunar New Year, a monkey-theme fair for the Year of Monkey. In contrast, the Oriental Pearl has a transparent panoramic corridor, where visitors can get an amazing look at the Huangpu River and foreign architecture on the Bund. Its restaurant is one of tourists' favorites and it holds Asia's largest indoor roller coaster, and a 5D movie theatre. There are also the sports, such as vertical marathon, held regularly.
