The China Financial Information Center in Lujiazui, Pudong New District of Shanghai played host to a salon on film and TV on May 13, attracting more than 400 of Lujiazui's office workers to exchange ideas on current TV shows with famous Chinese scriptwriters, Pudong Times reported.
The salon is an all-season event and was launched two years ago by Wang Liping, a prestigious screenwriter, with the aim of increasing the creativity of Shanghai's films and TV series.
This was the first time for the event to take place in Lujiazui. The participants focused on popular white-collar-themed TV shows, making Lujiazui an ideal venue for the event, as the area, a global financial hub, employs thousands of white collar workers.
Some of the office workers who took part in the salon wished the screenwriters would pay more attention to their life stories in Lujiazui.
