TheTTAC One-Lap Time Trial, part of the 2017 Shanghai City Amateurish League series, took place on July 2 at Shanghai Tianma Circuit.

The competition was co-held by Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau, Shanghai Sports Federation, Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort and the Tourism Bureau of Songjiang district.

A highlight of the competition included participants who could compete driving their own cars, making the competition more accessible to fans and the public. The competition consists of three varieties: the caravan amateurs, professionals and new energy vehicle group.

The TTAC one-lap time race was launched in 2016, and holds four competitions per year. It is said to be the first trial of the one-lap race in China.

Cars used for racing at Shanghai Tianma Circuit, which was established with a sponsorship from the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), have probably already peaked as far as international racing is concerned thanks to its one-off WTCC round. The track itself also boasts well-appointed VIP rooms, a grandstand with views of the whole circuit, a media center, multifunctional hall, club, restaurants, barbecue facilities and a gym.[Photo provided to China Daily]
