As Lantern Festival is around the corner, Shanghai Happy Valley has prepared a wide range of activities offering visitors a chance to enjoy festive entertainment.

1. Guessing lantern-riddles

Happy Valley launched an interesting lantern-riddle activity for tourists. Its roads are decorated with red lanterns and each of them has a riddle. Visitors who know the answers can scan the QR code by Wechat andl get a present.

Lantern riddles refers to riddles written on colorful lanterns. If a person knows an answer, he can answer the riddle. If he is right, he will receive a gift.

The traditional game originated in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and has become a popular Lantern Festival entertainment.
