Runners experienced Songjiang's unique elements in the course of the event as they passed by major local scenic spots, including Sheshan National Forest Park, the Guangfulin Site and Guangfulin Country Park, the Yuehu Sculpture Park and the Chenshan Botanical Garden.

Paul Kariuki Mwangi from Kenya won the men's race with a timing of 01:02:58, while Kabura Janet Njeri from Kenya won the women's race with a timing of 01:15:22.
