Sheshan Observatory
Founded in 1990, Sheshan Observatory, located on the top of West Sheshan Mountain, is one of China’s oldest astronomical telescopes and also China's only joint monitoring institution participating in international earth rotation and earth satellite tracking applying astronomical technologies.
The observatory has yielded more than 30 domestic and international achievements in astronomical science and technology. In 2013 it was listed among the seventh batch of key cultural relics under state protection.
