Stonehenge, the ancient standing circle of stones, is a famous attraction in Britain and renowned throughout the world. Erected in about 2500 BC, one of its most important features is its alignment with the midwinter sunset and midsummer sunrise.

Now, Moon Lake Sculpture Park is seeking to capture some of the Stonehenge magic with a similar but modern landscape feature, called Stone Forest.

It consists of 26 giant granite blocks that stand alone, which makes it the largest modern art stone forest in China. The four core stones are 12 meters high and each weighs more than 100 tons.

Enthusiasts say that walking into the interior of Stone Forest is like being among the skyscrapers of Manhattan, in New York.
