The Sheshan International Golf Club ranked first on a list of China's 10 greatest golf courses compiled by Golf Digest, a monthly magazine published by Discovery Inc which covers recreational golf as well as men's and women's competitive golf.
Every year the magazine invites professional judges to conduct evaluations on different golf clubs. The courses are scored according to eight indices—shot value, playability, resistance to scoring, design variety, memorability, aesthetic, conditioning and ambience.
This is the 10th consecutive year for the Sheshan International Golf Club to win the honor.

Sheshan Golf Club was the first private golf course to be built in Shanghai. With highly-restrictive membership requirements, the club boasts top-notch fields, 1,000-year-old ginkgo trees, and Jiangnan-styled bridges over calm waterways.
