Spring is renowned as a good time to admire the different species of birds at Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden.

Visitors have the chance to view over 60 species of wild birds, such as the Daurian redstart, siskin, tree pie, black-faced bunting, spotted dove, blackbird, and long-tailed shrike, in the garden as Shanghai is located along the migratory flight zone of East Asian-Australian migratory birds.

People are advised not to disturb and chase after birds, nor pick up or touch wounded or dead birds so as to maintain a natural ecological balance.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden is located in Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort and covers an area of 207 hectares, making it the largest botanical garden in East China.
