Shanxi enterprises that processed agricultural products had sales of 81.6 billion yuan, in 2012, for a year-on-year increase of 29.7 percent.
In related developments, at a provincial agricultural industrialization conference, in Shanxi province, on Jan 16, a mushroom project undertaken by the Shanxi Zituan Co, a project that is part of the province’s industrialization plan, has QS approval and has begun production. It will provide safe, nutritious mushroom-stuffed buns and provide 360 new job opportunities.
The Zituan project is a symbolic event for Shanxi’s industrialized agriculture and will strengthen its crop output, and fruit and vegetable business through key homegrown products, bringing the province into the product age, and helping farmers increase their income and promote urbanization.
