There was a charity auction of paintings and calligraphy, in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province, on April 23, to raise money for the victims of the 7.0-magnitude earthquake, in Ya’an, Sichuan province, with more than 100 painters and calligraphers donating their work. The auction itself will be held publicly, on April 27, and all the money raised to be donated to the disaster area.
