The 1st Shanxi Cultural Industries Fair will be held in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, from June 29 to July 3, with the aim of upgrading cultural industries –also known as creative industries - and also to enhance the regional cultural competitiveness and speed up the development of Shanxi province as a cultural center.
The fair, with the theme "A cultured and beautiful Shanxi", will be hosted by the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee Publicity Department, and will focus on three aspects: cultural exhibitions, cultural trading activities and artistic performances.
More than a thousand companies are expected to participate in the event and more than 10-thousand kinds of cultural products will be exhibited. A series of activities - not only traditional folk arts, but also performances using modern science and technology - will take place.
