The China Shanxi Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition, organized by the Chinese Cultural Center of Ulan Bator, capital of Mongolia, and the Shanxi provincial culture department, opened on June 4 , with more than 600 items on display, including wood engravings, new year paintings, paper-cuts, lacquer ware, fabric art with Chinese zodiac signs, and flower buns art.
Many locals have shown an interest in the works, especially the fabric arts and the art made of edible buns, and have spoken with the artists to learn more about the design and techniques, the Xinhua News Agency has reported.
The exhibition has been successful in promoting Shanxi's culture to the Mongolians and the media, such as the Mongolia National Post have given it a lot of attention. The show runs three days, until June 6.
